I have a Generac 1.6 L liquid cooled generator with a nexus controller that shows rpm sense loss. I had the battery checked by Autozone and Walmart and it has the right load per specs. I also changed the starter relay solenoid. Checked the rpm sensor near the flywheel, removed and cleans. Engine still stalls with RPM sense lossBrought the unit in my shop, pulled the rotor/stator and accessed the crankcase. There lied all the pieces of the gear. Replaced pump. Thought I could fire the motor w/o the r/s but found out that wasn't happening. Replaced that then I had an rpm sense loss. Verified the starter's ok, battery is brand new, all wires tight.
