I, too, received an email from Venmo, stating that Yahoo Data Breach Settlement has sent me $61.08. The email came from [email protected], though the reply address is [email protected]. When comparing headers between this email and another email that I know for a fact is from Venmo.com, everything matched.Update your online banking and financial services passwords. Contact your bank/card company. File a dispute. Request a new bank account number or card number. Once you let your bank or card company know the charges were unauthorized, they should be able to walk you through the dispute process. They are your best contact for this situation.
