If you decrease the pressure you're pushing against, you have a better contraction. You are right in that increasing preload will increase the velocity of your contraction, but the question asks DECREASING which one will increase contraction velocity. Hope that helps at least a little.

My UWSA was 241 yesterday. 21(240) last week and 23(223) just 3 days ago. Uworld first pass 71% and 2nd pass 84% although only about 50% completed on the 2nd passHi all, I got a very poor score on UWSA1 (209) and I feel very panicked, my test is now 4 weeks away. I don't have a true dedicated time anymore due to my test being canceled and moved etc and now I am currently doing in-person rotations. I have been using Uworld (about 68% of the way done) and averaging a 59%.
UWSA 1 and 2, ended up with 220. I don't think I can get 90% on each case, someone told me to do 8-10 each practice session and shoot for 80% average, but 75% might be okay. I always have one out of the 8 where I f up like you wouldnt believe and get like a 43%, because i killed the patient or i didnt give pain meds etc. 2.The first thing is nbme and the actual exam is easier than uwsa. Reply. dark_moose09 • 2 yr. ago. UW1 will make you panic. I took it 2 weeks out and it was the hardest exam I've ever taken in my life. I almost pushed Step 2 back. Took UW2 today (1 week out) and feeling MUCH better. I'm sure UW1 is useful but it will probably give you unnecessary anxiety in the days leading up to your exam so I say skip it.None is predictive. Just give it to have an idea how to handle long stem questions. Better to do old free 120 and latest one (before exam) and NBMEs (especially the last ones 26-31) which are far more predictive. None is predictive, but I found uwsa3 predictive according your current raw score in nbmes.
