Which math course should I choose for CS elective? Academic. I'm torn between taking one of the following four courses: MAS 3105 - Matrix and Linear Algebra. MAP 2302 - Ordinary Differential Equations I. MAD 4301 - Introduction to Graph Theory. MAC 2313 - Calculus 3. I'm not the strongest in math, but I usually get by with ~B given mild effort.The CS program is pretty rigorous for most, but very rewarding. I think getting the right professors will help. I am an IT major but have many CS friends. Computer Science 1 is the weed out class. After you take it you must take the foundation exam. You have 3 tries within the span of a year after CS1 I think. If you fail you have to switch majors.
