My truck is a 2014, so the expensive OEM/Toyota $85 75w transfer case gear oil is a non-issue for me. The owners manual specifies and 75W-90 GL-4 or GL-5 for the transfer case, and 75W-85 GL-5 for the differentials, I'll likely use Mobil-1 when I do the job this spring. The manual also specifies GL-4 75W-90 gear oil for the manual transmission.I know this is an old post but might help someone. I had the transmission and transfer case fluids changed at MB dealer on my w164 Ml350 and they used two different ATFs. For transmission they used ATF 134 FE part #001989780309. For transfer case they used ATF 134 part #001989680313. 4.

Owners Manual calls for .49 of a quart. Remove hose and replace with the clean Fill Plug and washer by turning clockwise. Tighten down to 28 ft-lbs of torque: Wipe down transfer case of any spilled oil and recheck both plugs for correct tightness.
