Stop leak for transfer case

I ask because in my case, my 2003 had an internal leak where the transfer case mates to the CVT housing. Probably the seal around the shaft/spline was leaking. I sealed the weephole on the bottom of the CVT housing to stop the fluid from leaking onto my garage floor, and it never dripped again.

I put the truck on a lift in my warehouse to change all the fluids and found the tranfer case was bone dry. I pulled several pieces of metal out of it and refilled it.Tightened to spec and see if it continues to leak. If it continues to leak, buy a new bolt. The new one should have a washer on it and should stop the leak. Or, reuse the bolt adding a dab of permatex.
