Only recently did I get curious as to the age of it. Seems wherever I go on the internet, I am told you can find the serial number and age in the "Smith & Wesson Standard Catalog".I have a S&W 357 Magnum The serial number is D709720. There are no other numbers anywhere on this gun, so I am guessing it is a pre 1957 model.
