Sold my Ithaca SKB model 500 12 gauge to buy the same thing in a 20 gauge. Something that seems strange to me is the 12 gauge skb had some ornate scroll work on the receiver. the 20 gauge has a limited amount of engraving. I own a 28 gauge 585 (as well as a 12 gauge 785). Japanese SKBs are nice guns and the x85 series are some of the later ones produced in Japan, with the most modern features. They're well built and will withstand a lot of use. THey're a great value.
