If you wanna go with firearms specialization police officer is much better as they also give you the nimble skill which is very hard to level up. Police officer is also cheaper so if you wanna get that panic reduction brave trait should suffice and cover most of that.You can listen to the radio for the AEBR announcement "Air activity detected". If you hear this then it means the helicopter is arriving. If you are inside when the helicopter arrives, just simply stay inside. Keep away from windows as the helicopter will migrate zombies to your general location. But as long as you stay hidden you will be safe.

To take it further though your traits are limited to taking a hit on the sight, with short sighted, Which is hinted by how a vet can spawn with an Eye Patch aswell.
