Premiere unsupported compression type

But, here's why the Citi Premier may actually present better...But when trying to at least look at the footage or import into premiere it's virtually impossible it seems like with certain files. Most of them import/proxy/transcode fine but the first 20 are unable to and I receive the file has an unsupported compression type. So now I don't know what to do with this footage is it a lost cause at this point?
