Oculus air link laggy

When i first connected via airlink my quest 2 worked fine and a played around for a couple of minutes with the virtual desktop etc. However, everytime after that once i connect it's instantly super laggy (black borders around the picture when i move my head and tracking the controllers is mega slow) and then it crashes out after about 2/3 ...
