Posted May 2, 2015. I have been reading a huge amount on light recoil 9mm loads. Most suggested 147gr. I have xtreme 147gr RN. The powders I can choose from are Power Pistol, Silhouette, Bullseye, CFE Pistol, Unique, Titegroup and 231. I have used Xtreme bullets in 180gr for .40 S&W loads in my XDm for years now... I have loaded thousands of these and have no complaints. I have used Berry's also in the past and see no differences in accuracy. To that end my load data for both is the same.

A 158gr SWC Plated bullet will work very well over a 4.0gr charge of w231 in the .38 Special.
