The Piercing Swords attack motion allows rapid thrusting attacks in quick succession, its runniong attack performs a lunge which allows users to gain a farther reach compared to other swords.Rapier is always okay, especially if you want to keep DEX low. as you should've guessed from all the replies. Ice Rapier would be better though, since you'll have access to buffs as a caster. Buffs scale with the weapon's base AR, which is often higher infused. The Ice Rapier barely loses physical damage infused, so it's perfect for caster builds.There is another, even better rapier thats achieved late game (talk to the ghost in the black castle after major bosses are defeated) that schools both the standard rapier and ricard's. Powerstanced rapiers are also fun if you like parrying and have an abundance of upgrade material's as well :) the dual attack is very quick and hits like a truck.Thrusting.
