I have put in over 800 hrs on DS2 but have been thinking about this a lot recently and like the Idea of having a rapier in one hand for parries, a fast attack option and finishing players off. The plan on a new character is to ...I've always went with a STR build, I want to try out one of these overpowered rapier builds for PVE. Rapier+10 with 40 dex, upgrade to espada ropero when you can, then leo ring and whatever buffs or spells. The chaos rapier is good too but takes twinkling to upgrade. Use ice rapier when you get to the dlc and your golden.

I have been practicing speedrunning a lot recently, and the rapier is always the weapon of choice. This makes sense for a lot of reasons; It has one of the fastest attack speeds in the game.
