It appears they're both the same system , so I don't see why a BCM buffer won't work in Vltor A5 but would like to get confirm. I use a vltor A5 buffer tube with a A5H2 buffer and vltor spring on my 14.5 bcm . Before that i used a Geissele super 42 and H2 buffer. Id go with a H2 and sprinco blue for your current set up. Look into the vltor a5 system it reduced felt recoil more than any other buffer system I've tried.…and then below an H1 is what’s known as a standard or carbine buffer. I think the carbine buffer he’s referring to weighs 3oz and has 3 steel weights. You replace one steel weight with one tungsten weight each step from H1-H2-H3. H1 buffer and springco white (standard power spring) has worked fine for 1000 rounds or so. Got an H2 and springco blue (extra power) and it seems to run that as well but haven't tested it a lot. I'm pretty sure BCM uses an H1 in their complete 16 mid rifles so that's probably the best option.
