I bought 6 Blue Ameraucana day-old chicks from a hatchery that advertised “true Ameraucana, show quality”. 4 came in as blue, two were black (it happens – Bk/Bl/Spl genetics means that a pair of breeding Blues produce 50%blue, 25% black, and 25% Splash offspring )..
