If the accelerated slide speeds resulting from the .460 cartridge are not controlled you will eventually have a case blowout, a result of the barrel unlocking from the breech face prematurely.The 460 Rowland was produced by shortening 45 Winchester Magnum brass. The 45 Win Mag was designed to run @ 40,000 PSI. Not the same as a 45 ACP case. Rowland has been able to get close to the 45 Win Mag performance by using newer powders that were not available when the Win Mag was designed.
