The engine was really turning the rpm, can't remember what it was. that was in 66, and I'm now in the 65's myself.Maybe a 3.73 for the road. I'd try a 4.11 if I had a 700 trans.

I just changed to a 4.10 to get as the other posts stated more top end. My personal opinion: the 4.56 were better than the 4.88. If you just want to play on week-ends and bracket race go with 5.13 (absolutely useless on the street) unless you got lots of money for gas and tires. Just my .02.
